| The Rock Island Rocks
scored 10 runs in each of their season-opening games in a doubleheader sweep of Rockford
Guilford, winning 10-5 and 10-6. Third-baseman Grant Grimmett had the big day at the plate
in the opener, with a double and a home run that accounted for six RBIs. Drew Davis
knocked in two with two hits in the first game, then added three more hits in the second.
Second baseman Ryan Allison had three hits in the nightcap, and a double in the opener. |
