- James is a 6'4" 210 pound right handed pitcher who threw 82-84 mph last yar as a
sophomore.
- He pitched in 12 games for us last year, his record was 5-4 with 53 innings pitched,
facing 205 hitters striking out 55.
- James had an arm injury at the end of the season last year, but working hard in the off
season has resulted in a complete recovery, throwing since mid-january he looks real good.
- James is probably the one person on our team that could really make an impact in the
1999 draft.
- He is big and strong with a very nice arm action. If he works hard for the next 16
months, he could be a very high draft out of high school.
- James is also a 2-sport athlete, playing football in the fall he has been the varsity
punter for the last two seasons.
JAMES BRITTON -- When I graduate from high school, I would like to go into the draft
for baseball. If I dont get accepted to the pros, Ill go to college and get an
education and also play ball in college...
