• Marcus is definitely a player of the future, he is a big time player who may help the Rocks in his first season at high school, he is only a freshman.
  • In his last two summers with the Red Sox he has developed into a fine young player. We feel that Marcus could really add some advantages from the left side of the plate this spring.
  • He has played centerfield for the past years of his baseball career, but our staff feels that he is so quick that he could really be a fine shortstop within the next four years.
  • He is very much like Steve Strickler, J.J. Tubbs, James Britton, and Bryce Palar, who really made an impact on the varsity team as freshmen.

MARCUS YOUNGQUIST -- There are many goals that I would like to achieve after high school. The main goal that I have is to get a full ride to a Division I school playing centerfold. If I achieve that goal, the other major goal I have is to stand out enough in my college career so that the scouts would start to take my name into consideration for the team that they represent. Although right now, I am just going to try and concentrate on standing out in the next few years of high school.
