Rocks in their 12-0 opening victory over Freeport. The game was called by the 10-run
rule in the fifth inning. Rocky pitcher Grant Snyder allowed only two hits.
In the second game Tom DeBroeck threw a
no-hitter through six innings in Rock Island's 6-0 win. Stephens tallied two more
hits, and Snyder and Andrew Tarnow each knocked in two runs.
