-- Rocky splits in Rockford: In the first game of the doubleheader Rock Island topped the Rockford Guilford 6-3 on only one hit. The Vikings finished the second game 16-6 in the sixth inning, after a huge 10-run fifth. Denver Schmitt and Tyler Wentler each had two hits, both getting doubles.
